My partner bought me the asus 1001p netbook for quick internet use and word processing on the go. The netboook is nicely designed, extremely lightweight whilst still feeling sturdy. The keyboard is easy to type on and doesnt feel cramped. The screen is clear and easy to read from. The only issue is that it doesnt offer 11-hours battery life as stated. With all the power save modes switched on, brightness reduced and sound muted, you will be able to squeeze out at least 6-7 hours battery life. The average being around 4-5 on normal usage (and thats not using media devices such as skype or windows media player). If you want 11-hour usage, this will not meet the requirement but as a backup to your main piece of travel equipment, it fits the bill very nicely
